KWIRS ORGANIZED 2 DAY SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP ON ADMINISTRATION OF TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (TCC) FOR KW-GIS STAFF

KWIRS HOLDS A 2DAY SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP FOR KW-GIS STAFF 
     
     
  
 In its effort to improve revenue generation and block leakages in revenue collections.


        The Kwara state internal revenue services has organized a 2 day workshop for the staff of kwara State geographical information services (KW-GIS). 


 The Executive Chairman of KWIRS, Mr.Shade Omoniyi, in her remarks stated that the two agencies  are partners in progress on whose the growth and development of the state  lie upon. 


       Mrs Omoniyi appreciated  the effort of the Acting Chairman of Kwara State Goegraphic Information Service (KW-GIS), Mall Abdulmutalib A Shittu,  for collaborating with the Agency in order to have improved  revenue drive  for the state.  


 She further alluded to the  fact that, what comes from federal allocation  to the state  is not enough for meaning growth and development 
 for kwara residents,hence the need for the agencies  to collaborate in revenue  generations.  


 Mr Audu Mohammad, who presented a paper in the workshop,and likened the two sister agencies as conjoined  twins, that have similar roles  to play in revenue drive for the state. 
 
  
Mr Audu charged the participants at the workshop to enhance  revenue generation in the state, so that, the joy expressed by the state civil servants  can be sustained. 


      He further urged staff of KW-GIS  to make activities of  the agency, seamless for improved internal revenue .
    

  Mr. Ibrahim Gegele, while presenting his paper, reechoed  on the importance of new policy regime, where Tax clearance  certificate  is made  necessary  for  prospective  applicants  in KW-GIS. 


    Mr. Gegele added that, it brings more revenue  to government covers among others. 


  Mrs. Wole Oke ,in her presentation, called for collaborative  effort of the agencies for improved revenue generation and make the system  better for the payers.

      
 She stated that, professional training  for the participants is priority  for the government in order to have best global practice. 


 In his  remarks, Administrative Secretary, Mallam Ahmad Idris Danjuma, appreciated the Organisers of the workshop and participants for coming en mass. 


  He appealed to the government, to build capacity for the staff and gave assurances that they  would put their best in returns.

While commending His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his  understanding and approval of the Sensitization  Workshops and assured that it will have positive direction  in the revenue generation in the state.
