EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN KW-GIS, CHARGES DIRECTORATES ON DEDICATION IN THE NEW YEAR.




The Management and Staff of Kwara State Geographic Information Service have been charged to be proactive and more dedicated in discharging their statutory functions.

The Executive Chairman, KW-GIS, Mallam Abdulmutalib Shittu gave this charge during a maiden meeting with the Directorates and Unit Heads of the Agency at the Agency's Conference Room.

He urged the four Directorates: Survey; Lands; Physical Planning, Development and Control as well as Urban and Regional Planning to work together as an entity so as to achieve the aims of the present administration in the State in creating State Geographic Information Service.

While commending the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his developmental efforts across all sectors in the State, Mallam Shittu disclosed the Agency would experience significant changes that would bring about even transformation and complete digitalization.

He therefore, urged the Area Officers across the Sixteen Local Government Areas in the State to identify other areas of revenue generation in their respective Area Offices.

The meeting was well attended by the Heads of all the four Directorates and Unit Heads of the Agency.

*Promote work ethics, State Civil Servants charged*  Kwara State Civil Servants have been charged to promote lofty principles and be more dedicated to their statutory responsibilities as expected of them, in order to add values into the system. Abdulkareem Babatunde Suleiman gave this charge during the week, at the maiden refresher programme organized by the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Kwara State Chapter in collaboration with the Directorate of Physical Planning and Development Control, KW-GIS for Physical Planners in the State. KWSG Demolishes Illegal Structures, Complies with FG Directive*

In compliance with the Federal Government's directive, the Kwara State Government has demolished illegal structures at Unity Road, Ilorin, the State capital. The exercise was to ensure that government offices and schools do not have commercial ventures in front of them  to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the face of insecurity in the nation.
