IMBIBE POSITIVE ATTITUDE TO WORK: SHITTU.



The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Goegraphic Information Service (KW-GIS), Mallam Abdulmutalib A. Shittu  has charged the Staff of the Agency to imbibe the spirit of positive attitude towards their statutory duties. 

He gave this charge today in a management meeting held at the Agency's mini Conference Room.


Shittu enjoined Staff to be proactive and dedicated towards work for the smooth operation of Ease of Doing Business Executive Order 001 in the State.

He stated that there were series of complaints emanating from Directorates about the slow pace of file movement and Search taking too long to get the necessary approvals.


Executive Chairman therefore, admonished Staff to be very careful in handling issues with clients and advised that they should communicate intelligently with clients and as well desist from encouraging clients to shortchange the Government.


He warned that any Staff caught with lackadaisical attitude towards work and in the treatment of clients or applicants will be used as a scapegoat to serve as deterrent to others.

In his contribution, the Administrative Secretary, Mallam Ahmad Idris Danjuma, said whoever occupies a public position is a servant of the public, but on the contrary some have attitude problem.

While imploring the Staff to imbibe attitudinal change, suggested that there should be re- orientation training for Staff at all times.

At the meeting were, Administrative Secretary, Legal Adviser, Surveyor General, Director, Urban and Regional Planning, General Manager Physical planning and Development Control and other staff of the Agency.

KWSG Demolishes Illegal Structures, Complies with FG Directive*

In compliance with the Federal Government's directive, the Kwara State Government has demolished illegal structures at Unity Road, Ilorin, the State capital. The exercise was to ensure that government offices and schools do not have commercial ventures in front of them  to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the face of insecurity in the nation.
