KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT AS AGAIN BEEN COMMENDED: SHITTU.



As part of the ongoing  Land Reformation at the Lands Administration in the State, the Executive Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has forwarded two bills to the State House of Assembly for deliberating and consideration. 

The Executive Chairman, Mallam Abdulmutalib A Shittu disclosed this in Ilorin today while addressing a Press today.

Shittu said one of bills tagged, "Kwara State Urban and Regional Planning Development Bill 2022" which has been forwarded to the State House of Assembly for deliberation and consideration.

He said this new bill would seek to provide for the preparation of State Physical Planning and Development and for connected purposes.

He added that the second bill forwarded to the House of Assembly, tagged "Kwara State Landed Property Protection Bill 2022, is also for consideration and passage into law.

The Executive Chairman said the second bill among other things makes provision against forceful entry and illegal possession of landed property, violence or fraudulent conduct in relation to landed property in the State.

While appealing to the State House of Assembly to expedite action on the passage of the two bills, for the betterment of all Kwarans, said that the quick passage of the bills would further reduce issues with land speculators and land related matters essentially with the customary land owners.

In compliance with the Federal Government's directive, the Kwara State Government has demolished illegal structures at Unity Road, Ilorin, the State capital. The exercise was to ensure that government offices and schools do not have commercial ventures in front of them  to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the face of insecurity in the nation.
