KWARA STATE GOVERNOR DESERVES KUDOS: OBA ISMAIL ALEBIOSU



Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been commended for his wisdom, capacity, dedication, sincerity and compassion in handling the affairs of the State.

His Royal Highness, Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba (Barr.) Ismail Bolaji Yahaya Mohammed Atoloye II Alebiosu gave this commendation during a courtesy visit to the Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS), today.

Oba Alebiosu said it takes a good initiative and courage to decide to reform Land Administration in the State, and His Excellency should be appreciated for quick decision to reform Land related activities, for the Ease of Doing Business.

He added that with this alone he has carved a niche for himself and recorded success across all sectors, and his  commitment and passion for good development is one that the Kwarans are yearning for. 

In his words, "we are still not ripe to value land in the State, go to Lagos and see how Government attached much value to it than any other things."

Oba Alebiosu therefore urged the good people of the State to rally round the Government to make Kwara of our dream.

He later assured of his full support to the success of lands reform, and  prayed for the overall success of the State, advising top Managements of the KW-GIS to continue to be partners in progress.

The Executive Chairman, KW-GIS, Mallam Abdulmutalib A Shittu, while welcoming the Oba,  he briefed him that  said Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has decided to merge what we used to call, Bureau of Lands, Office of Surveyor General, Urban and Regional Planning and Physical planning and Development Control as Directorates under the  Kwara State Goegraphic Information Service (KW-GIS).

He added that the Lands Transformation process has commenced, the Consultant engaged in the process will soon kick start for the smooth operation of lands related matters in the State.

Mallam Shittu prayed for Allah guidance for the Royal Majesty on his journey mercy back on home and long life on the throne.

(Mrs) Olubiyi Omolara, Surveyor General, Surveyor Ibrahim Muhammad, Director, of Lands Services, ESV Emmanuel Ogundipe, Agt GM. Tpl Taiye Mohammed, Director Urban and Regional Planning, Tpl Alao Fatai among others.
