KW-GIS STAFF URGED TO EMULATE THE GOOD QUALITY OF OUTGOING DLS.


The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS), Dr. Abdulmutalib Shittu, has urged the Staff of the Agency to emulate good qualities exhibited by the retired Director, Land Services.

Dr Shittu gave this admonition during a sent-forth Program, organized for the outgoing Director, Lands Services, ESV Emmanuel Ogundipe who exited from the State Service after 35 years of meritorious service to his mother land.

Shittu said, it is good to be good, employing the subordinate staff to emulate the good qualities of their superior officers,  especially the outgoing Director, adding that everyone would retire one-day and leave a legacy for others to emulate.

He described ESV Emmanuel Ogundipe as a hard working, diligent, focused, friendly and calm office holder in handling and discharging his official duties.

He noted that during the last two years of working with him, he had never found him complaining, saying, anything the Director brought as an issue, he quickly dropped whatever he is doing to attend to him.

Shittu later commended him for the knowledge impacted and knowledge shared, most especially during the transition process.

While wishing ESV Emmanuel Ogundipe on behalf of the State Government, success, God's protection and guidance in his future endeavors, he advised the incoming Director, Lands Services, although not new in the process, to be more focused in the new task of piloting the Directorate to the higher heights.


In their separate goodwill messages, the Legal Adviser, State Surveyor General and other Directors at the program, felicitated with ESV Ogundipe  and described him as a complete gentle man and prayed God for his continued protection and guidance for the rest of his life.

While responding, ESV Ogundipe, expressed happiness and satisfaction over the program and appreciated the State Government for the opportunity to serve, thanked the Executive Chairman for tolerating him at all times and also appreciated other  Directors for their friendship.

ESV Ogundipe therefore, charged Land Officers and subordinate staff to please extend the same support and more to the Incoming Director, Lands Services for the success of the transition program of the State Government.

In compliance with the Federal Government's directive, the Kwara State Government has demolished illegal structures at Unity Road, Ilorin, the State capital. The exercise was to ensure that government offices and schools do not have commercial ventures in front of them  to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the face of insecurity in the nation.
