GOVERNMENT WILL PARTNER ERCA- AAS


Kwara State Government has assured all land related Associations in the State, Estate  Rent Commission Association of Nigeria in particular of its readiness to partner with them, for ease of business transactions.

The Acting Administrative Secretary of the State Geographic Information Service, Mrs Motunrayo Adaran gave this assurance in Ilorin today, while receiving the Estate  Rent Commission Association of Nigeria in her office. 

Mrs Adaran noted that  the Agency is very much ready to partner with any Association willing to cooperate and support the policy thrust of the State Government in making life meaningful for Kwarans.

She advised that professionals handling land administration in the State should be duly consulted, before acquiring, surveying and selling landed property, to avoid non adherence to ethics of the profession, that might lead to court injunctions.

Adaran therefore urged the Association to do things accordingly and always approach the Agency to ascertain the status of any property to avoid multiple transaction, assuring the Association of the  Agency's supports as they are partners in progress. 

In his contributions, the State Surveyor General, Surv. Ibrahim Mohammed and Director, Land Services, ESV Wahab AbdulRahman advised  the Association to always follow procedures by approaching the Office of Surveyor General, before acquiring any land for proper layout.

In the same vein, the Directors, Physical Planning and Development Control, TPL Taiye Mohammed as well as Urban and Regional Planning, TPL Alao Fatai also admonished the Association to carry out  land registration and proper layout, to enable Government follow and monitor how allottees develop their portions of land.

Earlier, the Chairman, Estate  Rent Commission Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter, Hon. Prince Adewole Onibokun disclosed that their visit was to familiarize themselves with the Agency and sought for synergy and cooperation in the area of land services, especially in  acquisition, survey, to  avoid land dispute.
