*Promote work ethics, State Civil Servants charged* 

Kwara State Civil Servants have been charged to promote lofty principles and be more dedicated to their statutory responsibilities as expected of them, in order to add values into the system.

The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Geographic Information Service, ESV. Abdulkareem Babatunde Suleiman gave this charge during the week, at the maiden refresher programme organized by the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Kwara State Chapter in collaboration with the Directorate of Physical Planning and Development Control, KW-GIS for Physical Planners in the State.

The Chairman, who was represented by the Acting Administrative Secretary, Mrs Motunrayo Adaran, commended the organizers describing the programme as timely, as it would afford participants the opportunity to refresh and improve their work ethics in public service.

He therefore, admonished participants to be very attentive and take cognizance of whatever they would be taught, congratulating them for being fortunate to be part of the programme, which was meant to enhance their optimal performance in carrying out their civic duties.

In their separate goodwill messages, the State Surveyor General, Surv. Ibrahim Mohammed, Director, Urban and Regional Planning, Tpl Alao Fatai and Director, Physical Planning and Development Control, Tpl Sunday Idowu, appreciated the organizers of the programme for making it a worthwhile event charging them to make proper use of the new knowledge they are about to acquire, so as to apply it, at their various places of assignments.

The Deputy Director, Development Control, Tpl. Abdulhakeem Abdulsalam later expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the office of the Head of Service, for its concerted efforts at refreshing the minds of participants on the civil service rules and imploring them to judiciously imbibe the spirit of workmanship at all times. 

The programme which was held at the KW-GIS conference room, was well attended by all the unit Heads of the four Directorates of KW-GIS and other staff of the agency.
