KW-GIS CHAIRMAN CLINCHES INTERNATIONAL HONOR ON LAND REFORM.
On Friday, 27th January, 2023, the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (Ghana) conferred international honour on the Executive Chairman of Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS), Malam Abdulmutalib Shittu who was adjudged to have contributed his quota to the development of public service and displayed quality leadership style in revamping the land administration in the State.
Malam Shittu was conferred with an honorary doctorate by the Executive Director of the Institute, Dr Richard Kpoku during a courtesy visit to the KW-GIS, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, professionalism, public service excellence and credible contributions to land reforms in the State.
The Executive Director of the Institute, was joined by a colleague, Mr Lanre Sadiq to present the prestigious award of honorary doctorate to the Executive Chairman, KW-GIS today in his office in Ilorin.
According to Dr Richard, the West Africa Association is proud to welcome Dr Shittu who is one of the best in his ranks to professionalism and public service excellence. “Your accomplishments as a dynamic and talented African, engendering culture, and improved quality of leadership in land reforms in Kwara State are worthy of recognition. We are particularly proud of your remarkable achievements as the Head of KW-GIS, an Agency that focuses on land administration reforms and ease of doing business in the State and African continent is blessed to having a celebrant personality like you, an outstanding, remarkable leader and a shining example to Africa youth”.
The Executive Chairman, Dr Abdulmutallib Shittu in his response, expressed deep appreciation to the Institute for counting him worthy of honour. He said that he is delighted that the Institute recognized him among his peers in the African continent, adding that he would always try his best with the help and support of the Agency’s management staff in whichever way he can to give his unflinching support to the development of the State, Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
He therefore, thanked the management staff for their effort and support in achieving what the Agency has been able to achieve so far in terms of revenue generation and productivity, urging the Institute to further find more talents in Africa so as to honor them based on track records in order to put Africa youth on the global map of excellence.
